Australian Soldier in World War II Photograph

Today we have an interesting snapshot of an Australian soldier in Australia during the Second World War, showing a Digger posing with army lorries in the background:

He wears a khaki drill uniform with trousers and an open necked tunic worn over a shirt and tie. He wears the traditional slouch hat on his head and his sergeant’s stripes on his sleeve:

In the background a selection of lorries can be seen lined up at the side of the road:
