Last year we looked at an example of an Australian Field Message Pad from the early 2000s here, today however we are looking at some earlier examples from the 1970s:

Although the cover design changed over the years, the basic note books have remained the same for over a century. Two of these have seen extensive use over the years, as witnessed by the cover page. Note also the dates, one from June 1974 and the other from May 1976:

I always like pads that have been well used and there are some interesting notes recorded inside these, such as these two pages:

I have built up a nice selection of these notebooks over the years, and it is nice to have a variety illustrating the changes made to the design as the decades progressed.
